De Walkthrough: Wat zit erin?
First off: Erase Paste. This is one of Benefit's concealers, a special mixture that will hide your flaws and highlight your skin. The shine it gives is subtle, making it perfect for concealing dark circles. That's a problem that I'm very much familiar with, and while this is no miracle worker (haven't found one yet), it's still pretty good. You will definitely love this one if, unlike me, you do not have dry skin.
Next: High Beam! On Benefit's website, this highlighter in a bottle is described as 'luminiscent complexion enhancer'. And it's actually pretty much accurate. Use the nail polish-like brush (kudos for the superpractical packaging!) to swipe some High Beam on your brow bones, cheek bones, the bridge of your nose, and your cupid's bow. Blend with your fingers and voilà: you just gained that essential bit of brightness! You can add an extra layer for a party-proof glow.
The second mini-product in this kit is possibly my favourite: Girl Meets Pearl. This is a little miracle worker. GMP is a luminiser with a slightly golden, pearly sheen. It makes your skin look young, radiant and fresh. There are different ways to use it, but my favourite so far is to mix a tiny bit of it with your BB cream. The effect will be subtle, but it will make you look very healthy and lovely and ward off the unnaturally matte effect that is so common with BB creams or foundations.
And last but not least: Posietint! This is the lighter version of the best-selling Benetint. They're both liquid lip and cheek stains (also known as blusher-and-lipstick-all-in-one), but where Benetint is bright red, Posietint is a sweet girlish pink. Perfect for gals with porcelain complexions! I like Posietint as a durable and natural-looking lip colour. As a cheek stain, the colour is lovely and subtle - you can layer until you get the exact effect you want - but it's got some issues with my very dry skin. Unlike many other lipsticks and -tints, Posie here doesn't mind dry lips, so that's a big plus!
